"... demands by the group claiming to be the Sulu Sultanate royal army do not arise at all. Based on historical fact, the Sulu Sultanate dynasty ceased to exist from the early 1930s when the Philippines became a republic. In this respect, the question of demand does not arise at all as the dynasty was clearly disbanded quite a long time ago."OUR VIEW: Malaysia's Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk V K Liew, member of Barisan Nasional, WHO IS CLEARLY CHINESE MALAYSIAN, CLEARLY DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HISTORY BESIDES WHAT HE HAS LEARNED IN HIS KAMPUNG which is to say, nothing much except the historical fairy tales that were fed to him by Kuala Lumpur.
To say that "...from the early 1930s when the Philippines became a Republic", implies that this fellow never read anything beyond his Bahasa fairy tale history books that Malaysia leaders imposed on their school children to learn by heart. Well, for the information of this Malaysia deputy minister Datuk V K Liew, the Philippines became a republic on 12 June 1898 while bone idle and intellectually lazy Malaysians and their imported Chinese slaves (to work in tin mines) were still walking about virtually on all fours.
TO SAY THAT "Based on historical fact, the Sulu Sultanate dynasty ceased to exist from the early 1930s when the Philippines became a republic," IS PUSHING THE LEVEL OF IGNORANCE A BIT TOO FAR. NOWHERE IN THE PHILIPPINE CONSTITUTION IS IT SAID THAT WHEN WE BECAME A REPUBLIC, SULTANATE LEGACY DIED WITH IT.
ABOVE ALL, THE FACT THAT THE REPULIC THROUGH PRESIDENT DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL ACCEPTED THE TRANSFER OF SOVEREIGNTY RIGHTS OVER SABAH FROM SULTAN ESMAIL KIRAM I, 33rd SULTAN OF THE SULTANATE OF SULU AND NORTH BORNEO (Sabah), ON 12 SEPT 1962, IS AN IRREFUTABLE PROOF THAT THE REPUBLIC RECOGNISED THE SULTANATE OF SULU DYNASTY.
Malaysia's Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk V K Liew should get his facts right before he opens his mouth and misleads the rest of Sabahanos again!
