To President Aquino: Even nations must accept that relationships are not a one-way street

WE ARE RATHER PERPLEXED BY THE PRESIDENTIAL QUIP DURING SPEECH AT STATE DINNER IN HONOUR OF VISITING FRENCH PRIME MINISTER

During the state banquet held in honour of visiting French Prime Minister Ayrault, President Aquino was reported to have said that "he was curious why there had been little interaction between Philippine and French leaders in the past 65 years despite sharing a love of good food."

Mr Aquino, we hope has not forgotten that France was the first country in the world back in 1987, to recognize the revolutionary government of his late mother's, the Cory Aquino government, ahead of every other country, including the United States.

France was the first country in the world, to have approved sale of some of the most sensitive armaments there were around (we cannot say which for security reasons) upon the request of Mrs Aquino's government back in 1989 when Mrs Aquino became the guest of honour of France's 14th of July Bicentennial Celebrations of the Taking of the Bastille. Note that the United States refused to sell those 'sensitive armaments' even after a plea by the PSG command to thwart off coup d'état attempts by renegade military forces against the Cory Government. But France did!

During the time of FVR, France regional government (Paris-Ile de France) donated millions of dollars - gratis et amore - and continuing efforts to improve the technical know-how of MMDA officials and engineers through education and grants in France to improve Metro Manila urban planning.

In 1992, France state-owned defence companies sent their people in order to help AFP with military planning in prevision of the AFP's Modernization Law at no cost to Philippine Government. A host of AFP military chiefs and planners were invited to France by way of continuing education.

We must not forget to mention the defence treaty/Defence MOA that France and Philippines signed in 1994 during FVR's visit to Paris...

There are many other areas where France has contributed to try to help improve relations between leaders of both countries, with France always taking the initiative. In October 2000, a state visit by former President Estrada was cancelled by the Philippines at the last minute.

Lest we forget, during the dreadful Sipadan hostage crisis, unknown to the public, it was France and her intelligence agency people who organised the negotiations discreetly and effectively in 2000 that enabled the Philippines to resolve the shameful international drama.

We believe that the Philippines has not taken advantage of what has been on offer or simply has ignored France. The Philippines should actually examine the list of initiatives and take advantage of what France might offer. If ever there had been little interaction between Philippine and French leaders, perhaps, it's time the Philippines examined their side.

A bit of imagination is required to make things happen. Even nations must accept that relationships are not a one-way street.

WILL US Carrier invoke Right of Innocent Passage through Philippine owned but China controlled Scarborough waters?

WILL USS George Washington INVOKE "RIGHT OF INNOCENT PASSAGE" THROUGH SCARBOROUGH WATERS UNDER THE VERY NOSES OF CHINA NAVY WHEN SHE VISITS MANILA ON 24 OCTOBER???

We ask this question because despite the fact that Scarborough waters fall well within the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Philippines, China now exercises full control of Panatag Shoal (Scarborough Shoal.)

WE HAVE JUST LEARNED THAT USS George Washington, the largest carrier of the United States Nav just might pass through Scarborough waters this week. Technically, we think that the 20-year old carrier can sail as close as 12 nautical miles to the Panatag shoal (situated 134 miles from Zambales, and very much within the country's 200-mile EEZ) during her planned visit to Manila on 24 October, depending, of course, on the water depth. But according to the Scarborough chart that we've seen, USS George Washington could very well do that and possibly give those China ships stationned in West Philippine Sea a great whooping scare of their lives.

We very much assume that the 104,200-ton carrier's passage through Scarborough waters is not all that innocent. China, which has managed to steal the shoal from under the noses of our country's navy commanders and coast guards, is now in control of the Shoal. We all know the US is a Philippine key ally that many Filipinos believe is vested with "protector powers" under the mutual defence treaty that both countries signed in 1951. The Philippines after all still technically holds proprietary rights to the shoal unless of course the government of the Philippines decides not to contest.

China will certainly protest the passage of the US carrier (if the passage takes place) through the waters of Scarborough but there's nothing they can do about it given that the United States Navy ship will most likely be invoking "right of innocent passage" if she does decide to sail through the Philippines' 200-mile Exclusive Economic Zone, a right of exclusive exploitation that China disputes disputes today.

Now, this is where it gets interesting: when that happens, it would be ideal if the Philippine Navy takes advantage of the US carrier's passage and deploys a PN ship to maneuver through and as close to the shoal as they can and grab the shoal back. Such bold and daring action will help redeem their tattered image when the Philippines lost control of the Shoal after the back-to-back April-May 2012 fiascos: BRP Gregorio del Pilar's withdrawing to Poro Point leaving the scene of a 'potential confrontation' with China surveillance ship in April followed by China's cordonning off the shoal to foreign "visitors" in May.

Personally?  We think that China's act is tantamount to illegal annexation of part of Philippine territory and if at all, can be deemed an act of piracy.

His Royal Highness Rajamuda Muedzul-lail T Kiram of the Sultanate of Sulu, legitimate claimant to the throne

Shown in photo: His Royal Highness Rajamuda Muedzul-lail T Kiram and some of his Royal Council after the meeting on 11 June 2012 at Astanah Negara Sulu. In the photo are, ARMM DTI SEC. Hji Hamid Awad (Ruma Bitchara) Dept of Labor Director Hji Shiek Jaafar Asgali (Ruma Bitchara) Hon. Vice Mayor Hji Omar Sali (Ruma Bitchara) Helping Foundation Director Engr Darwin Sanaani (Ruma Bitchara) and members of the Panglima." (Credit: Habiba Kiram/Facebook)
Shown in photo: HRH Rajamuda Muedzul-lail T Kiram and the Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) General Hji Gajer Saddaramil. (Credit: Habiba Kiram/Faebook)
HRH Rajamuda Muedzul-lail T Kiram is one of the three legitimate claimants to the throne of the Sulu Sultanate. The other two legitimate claimants are Sultan Esmail Kiram II and Sultan Jamalul Kiram III.

For information, please be warned that Datu Fuad Kiram (shown left), the uncle of the Rajamuda who has been excommmunicated by the houses of Sulu's three legitimate claimants to the throne for illegal misrepresentation, has been operating on Facebook as sultan Fuad Kiram along with a certain Omar Kiram (not a Kiram in reality* but is fraudulently presenting himself to be a prince marshal of Sulu and Sabah). The two have been bestowing illegal European sounding nobility titles to just about anyone on Facebook.
Fuad Kiram cannot be considered a legitimate claimant to the sultanate of Sulu throne because he is not in direct line of succession but remains a royal datu. Furthermore, Datu Fuad Kiram has been excommunicated by the houses of Esmail Kiram II, Jamalul III and Muedzul-lail T Kiram for fraudulently usurping the throne and for abandoning his wife and daughter Habiba.
NB: "Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Founder and chairman and Tausug warrior Professor Nur Misuari has told the administrators of this blog in conversations late last year that he does not know where Mr Omar Kiram comes from and confirmed that Mr Omar Kiram who is pretending to be a prince of Sulu and Sabah is not a Tausug.
Professor Misuari also informed us that he received Datu Fuad Kiram and Mr "Omar Kiram" sometime during the first part of the decade purely out of courtesy but the act does not imply in any way his recognition of Datu Fuad Kiram as sultan of Sulu. Furthermore, during our conversations with him, Professor Misuari refused to address Fuad Kiram with the title of sultan and insisted on referring to him as Royal Datu Fuad Kiram.

NNB: For more information on the recognized sultans of Sulu over the years, please consult the official website of the Provincial Government of Sulu, Republic of the Philippines:

MALAYSIANS ARE BLEEDING LIARS!

MALAYSIA DID NOT EXIST 55 YEARS AGO AND WAS ONLY FORMED 49 YEARS AGO!
By Anne de Bretagne
For Defenders of the Philippine Sabah Claim and for the Philippine Sabah Claim Forum
31 August 2012

So how could they celebrate so-called 55th Malaysia independence???

MALAYSIA composed of Malaya Federation (which in itself is a federation of various Malaya sultanates), Sarawak, Singapore and Sabah began to exist or was formed only on 16 September 1963. In fact, Sabah itself ONLY gained its independence from the Brits on 31 August 1963 (and not 55 years ago!).

How could MALAYSIA dare declare that they gained their independence in 1957 when MALAYSIA did not exist until September 1963 inasmuch as Sabah -- and Sarawak, was still under colonial rule?

MALAYSIANS, or should I say Peninsular Malaysians (Kuala Lumpur) are fooling themselves and are revising their history... What they say that MALAYSIA gained independence 55 years ago is not only totally misleading, it is a lie! Hogwash! It is turning history into 'charlatanism.'

If we are not being clear, let's do a bit of clarifying and try to understand the difference between MALAYSIA Federation and MALAYA Federation:

MALAYSIA WAS FORMED BY 4 independent states that WERE ALREADY INDEPENDENT. They were as follows: the MALAYA Federation (which in itself was a federation of various Malaya sultanates), SARAWAK, SINGAPORE and SABAH (sadly, our Sabah was included) on 16 September 1963 or 49 years ago.

It was the Malaya Federation (and not MALAYSIA) that was given its independence by the Brits in August 1957.

Malaya Federation IS DIFFERENT from MALAYSIA Federation (in fact, the letter "S" in MALAYSIA stands for Singapore and inevitably for the "S" in Sarawak and Sabah). MALAYSIA was not created until September 1963, hence could NOT HAVE BEEN GIVEN independence 55 years ago.

Furthermore, and this is important: These 4 states were no longer under British rule when they formed Malaysia on 16 September 1963 hence there WAS NO INDEPENDENCE TO GIVE NOR INDEPENDENCE TO OBTAIN!

Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore which were part of the OF 16 Septemebr 1963's FUTURE MALAYSIA were NOT independent yet in 1957...in other words, Malaya or East Malaysia (where Kuala Lumpur is located) is hijacking history and waylaying Sabah and Sarawak! Fortunately Singapore left MALAYSIA Federation in 1965, otherwise they would be up in arms for Malaya's hijacking of history and for putting up false information.

East Coast Malaysia also known us Peninsular Malaysia (where Kuala Lumpur is capital) is deceving MALAYSIANS in general and confusing their own people. Furthermore, they are spitting on the Sabahans by bandying fake independence dates!

Let's recap: Today, MALAYSIA Federation is composed of only three states (remember that they hijacked Sabah from us) following the 1965 expulsion of Singapore in 1965 or two years after MALAYSIA was formed. The three states that technically compose MALAYSIA today are: the former MALAYA Federation or known as EAST COAST MALAYSIA, SARAWAK and SABAH (which East Coast Malaysia calls today as West Malaysia.)

EAST COAST MALAYSIA/Peninsular Malaysia (where Kuala Lumpur is the capital) CANNOT DO A BLANKET declaration that MALAYSIA (which technically includes Sarawak and Sabah) obtained its independence 55 years ago simply because MALAYSIA WAS FORMED ONLY 49 years ago. It's a lie and is a terrible mockery of the people of Sabah and Sarawak.

Another back-to-back lie that Putrajaya officials and many leaders from Kuala Lumpur bandy about which irritates me: Barisan Nasional (one of UMNO parties) leaders go to the pulpit and say that MALAYSIA fought for independence because not only is it not true, it is also a back-to-back lie.

MALAYA Federation (East Coast Malaysia today) which is part of MALAYSIA today NEVER fought for independence. It was handed to them on a silver platter. The Malayans never fought or did sacrifices to have their independence from the Brits; the Brits told them in no uncertain terms that MALAYA would have their independence in 1957 whether they liked it or not. In fact, the Malayans were very worried when the Brits said they would be leaving them because the Malayans were frightened of the Chinese population.

If there was a group of people that tried to rebel against the Brits, it was the Chinese of Malaya (mostly in Singapore) but NOT THE Malayans. So for the Prime Minister of Malaya to say in his speeches that MALAYSIA fought for independence (already a lie because MALAYSIA did not exist in 1957) IS A HUGE UTTER LIE!

Not only has East Coast Malaysia/Peninsular Malaysia illegally hijacked Sabah from its real owners, they are now hijacking history to suit their greedy purposes. When will the lies ever stop?

NOTE: To distinguish Sabah and Sarawak from the old Malaya, we have been and must continue calling the former MALAYA as follows: Peninsular Malaysia or East Coast Malaysia, capital of which is Kuala Lumpur.

MALAYSIANS MUST KNOW THE TRUTH BLOG: SABAH INDEPENDENCE ON 31 AUGUST 1963 (From a Sabah blog)

However, it is important that the people of Sabah should be informed and enlightened of the actual historyof Sabah and stop the twisting of the facts of history by our leaders to suit their political interests without consideration of the real and inconvenient truth that Sabah gained its independence on 31 August 1963.
Independence Day of a nation is one of the most important and celebrated event. Rightly, the Sabahgovernment should celebrate Sabah Independence Day and should not bow to the imposition of thecelebration of the 55th year of Malayan Independence which has no relevance or meaning for Sabahans.

Not happy with your Filipino passport? Be patient! Pretty soon, you may just ask for an MILF (Republic?) passport

We are focusing on our debacle with China (and rightly so!!) forgetting the imminent danger to our sovereignty rights down south and that there is a realistic danger that we will find our Republic with two main provinces instead of three very soon -- and it is happening before our very own eyes!
You see, in the run up to the "new political entity" that is being designed in the soon-to-be-carved Mindanao, the Republic and the MILF will "power-share" almost everything  (outlined in the Decision Points signed by the triumvirate Chief Philippine Appeaser and Peacenicker Mr Marvic Leonen, Chief Rebel and MILF Chair Mr Iqbal and Facilitator and Chief Trouble Maker Tengku Mohammed of Malaysia), but the following are reserved for the State:
(a) defence and external security,
(b) foreign policy,
(c) common market and global trade (Malaysia will be exlaiming "Yeeeehaaa! on this specific sub-point no doubt)
(d) coinage and monetary policy,
(e) citizenship and naturalisation (good heavens! Does that mean that many of us can opt for MILF passports soon???),
(f) postal service.
Fine!!! But where the State is expected to exercise sovereignty and ensure protection of the citizens of the republic is not clear because there IS NO MENTION OF internal security. And why was that omitted? Easy to surmise that someone, somewhere in that "peace talks panel" objected vehemently to power sharing in matters related to internal security -- a prelude to that new "political entity" (as detailed in Decision Point number 7) being off limits to the Armed Forces of the Republic of the Philippines.

The absence of "internal security" point is rather alarming.
But hey, things seem to be headed the MILF way (and by extension, Malaysia way), i.e., power sharing. The prospect of independence for a vast part of Mindanao may just be in the horizon and soon the MILF may be empowered to naturalise non-Filipinos and award MILF Republic citizenship which may just be an advantage to those who believe that their Filipino passport ain't good enough... they could then opt for an MILF Republic passport!
At this juncture, only two options hereunder have been left for us and we are required already to decide and choose our prerogative, by all means:
1) Return back Sabah to its rightful owners and be under the Federation of Malaysia as a compromise. We are considerate enough; we believe it is a win-win solution more appropriate to both Malays Bomeputra and the Suluans as brothers of the same religion. Allah says: “Muslims are just a single brotherhood.
2) The cessation or disintegration of the entire Sulu Archipelago to include Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan and North Borneo (Sabah) from both the Philippine Republic and the Federation of Malaysia and be created an Independent State as Sultanate of Sulu & North Borneo with her own government and sovereignty.
To avoid bloodshed and for legal purposes, all past Treaties entered into between the US Governments and the Sulu & North Borneo Sultans be used as vital instruments for the creation of such State. Otherwise, worse will come to worse, God forbid. We should get lessons from Iraq and Afghanistan which are severely devastated now owing to the obstinacy and stubbornness of their leaders who imposed tyrant rules and dictatorship just for personal aggrandizement. These are all charged to experience. I am confident that relinquishing Sabah to her legitimate owners is inevitable.

Marvic Leonen's outstanding feat: peacenicks with MILF, appeases Malaysia and buries national Sabah claim in one sitting!

Mr Marvic Leonen (shown in picture), chief peacnicker for the Philippine government panel is shortsighted and naive!
A chance for peace? You can't be serious!
Alright, let me rephrase that... There possibly is a chance for peace -- agree, after all Mr Marvic Leonen has announced a breakthrough in the peace talks between GPH and MILF. The price of peace is the nation's willfull obliteration of national respect and dignity in favour of Malaysia.
Thanks to Mr Leonen's brilliant 10 Decision Points of Principle signed in April this year between the Malaysia-backed rebel MILF group and the Philippine government designed to allow for the Philippines to give up sovereignty over a portion of Mindanao and hand it over to the MILF and Malaysia, there just might be "peace" but even then, there is no guarantee (Malaysia just might want to grab the whole of Mindanao.). Never mind that by doing so, Mr Leonen has unilaterally given up the nation's Sabah claim...
Did I not predict that with government's timidity about the nation's standing Sabah claim, Malaysia will walk into Mindanao, land grab a huge portion of it via their MILF cronies? Well, it is happening now...
And Mr Marvic Leonen speaks of a chance for peace? Mr Leonen himself trumpeted how our Armed Forces bent over backwards to accomodate the desideratas of the Malaysia-inspired MILF. So, of course when your Armed Forces bend over backward to accomodate the desideratas of a band of rebels, that is precursor to peace no doubt!
That's fine... we can live with the Armed Forces bending over backward to their natural enemies but when the MILF chief himself "expressed optimism a breakthrough could be achieved on the issue of transition" because he had more faith in the abilities and the negotiation facilitation prowess of Tengku Dato Abd Ghafar Tengku Mohamed from Malaysia, then we have a real problem.
Mr Leonen, we believe you have been not only been shortsighted, you also have been extremely naive because the "peace" that you are trumpeting today is proof that you have allowed Malaysia to screw the Philippines through and through. And when the rest of patriotic Filipinos finally realise how you sold our sovereignty out, God help us all!

Sabah report: West Malaysians still control Sabah and Sarawak, allocate top posts to themselves

West Malaysians (we call them Peninsular Malayasians in this blog) still control Sabah and Sarawak civil service posts.
Reason? West Malaysians (who call Sabahans and natives of Sarawak, East Malaysians) -- and that includes Malaysia PM Najib Razak, do not trust Sabahans and Sarawakans for that matter. Reminder: current PM Najib is the son of former PM Tunku Abdul Razak who said he did not trust Filipinos back in the 70s.

West Malaysians need to control -- and do control, Sabah in order to be able (1) to exploit the resources of Sabah to fatten up West Malaysia and build KL, (2) to ensure that UMNO, West Malaysia's ruling coalition party, wins every single election and Sabah is key as the province holds the most number of seats in West Malaysia Parliament, thanks to ex-PM Mahathir who, during his tenure, flooded Sabah with flying voters promising relevant Malaysia papers to non-Malays in the 1980s, including to Filipinos; he then obliged the flying voters to vote UMNO.

From the report by Free Malayasia Today: West M'sians still control Sabah and Sarawak:
“Posts have been given to Sabahans in recent years, but this is just an eye-wash. For over 40 years, posts have hardly been given to Sabahans.
“Even if they have been given director posts, they don’t have any power,” he said. For example, Majimbun said that most district police chiefs were not even Sabahans.
West Malaysians do not have a high regard for Sabahans believing that Sabahans still 'live in the dark ages.' How do we know? Because West Malaysians have told us often enough of their contempt for Sabahans whom they believe to be unsophisticated, hence inferior, and are therefore incapable of managing Sabah.

We call that sort of political doctrine, colonisation. We will be happy to help Sabahans establish control of Sabah -- as always, it is imperative to remind Sabahans the goold old Latin adage that has inspired many sovereignty defenders in history: NEMO NOS IMPUNE LACESSIT! (No one hits us with impunity.)
