Beware of sultan of Sulu impostors! Sultan Muedzul has the moral and legal ascendancy to champion the claim to Sabah cause

Sultan Muedzul-Lail T Kiram, current reigning sultan of Sulu and North Borneo (Sabah) shown in better times with his  uncle, Datu Fuad Kiram (right) who has decided to usurp the Sulu throne aided by a fake 'prince marshal'.

Please be informed that the websites you see on Facebook, and on the net in general, promoting the impostorship of Datu Fuad Kiram (the uncle of Sultan Muedzul Kiram) and rallying support for Fuad Kiram to be recognised as sultan of Sulu are part of a massive sting operation. The said websites were created by someone who is not even a Tausug but decided to appropriate for himself the title of prince marshal - he is the handler of Datu Fuad whom he convinced to try to usurp the sultanate throne. His websites are a mixture of facts, fiction and fairy tale. In other words, they can only be the creations of the leader of a con gang whose main pre-occupation today is to try to get rich quick.

Datu Fuad, who is telling everyone on Facebook that he is the sultan of Sulu (which, if you examine closely is based on pure 'backside wind') and his handler, someone who is undoubtedly excellent at story telling, met for the first time in 2004 and hatched a plan. For your infomation, it was Sultan Muedzul, who was then Rajahmuda (Crowned Prince) who appointed his uncle, Datu Fuad, as sultan regent of Sabah. But the poor, feeble-minded and unemployed Datu Fuad was convinced by the handler to proclaim himself sultan in place of his nephew who has the most legitimate claim to the title. So, the problem began.

Sultan Muedzul stripped his uncle Fuad of the regent sultan of Sabah title while the Rumah Bechara of Sulu excommunicated Fuad. Fuad's handler then took things a step forward by organising a crowning ceremony for Fuad in a basketball court in Angono, Rizal. The said handler also convinced Datu Fuad to forge some kind of accusation against Sultan Muedzul Kiram for some 'haram' act which Ayatollah Matt Salleh, one of the illustrious members of the Forum who has worked and knows the Tausug culture more than many will ever do, qualifies as fake charges.
Ayatollah Matt Salleh, one of the unsung heroes of Operation Merdeka, the first physical attempt of the Republic to claim Sabah (in the 60s and 70s) said, "There is no proof of any competent authority declaring him haram. Only the Ruma Bechara can do so. Neither is there any police record or court conviction of such thing."

Furthermore, the said Datu Fuad handler organised a group on Facebook to rally support for the impostorship of Fuad. The same handler who, by the way, goes under the name of Omar Kiram (although not a Kiram nor a Tausug, and is completely unknown to legendary Tausug warrior Nur Misuari) is someone who is also very good at creating internet sites, as one of our illustrious members here once remarked to us.

The handler, who goes by the name of Omar Kiram and who also named his mistress a 'duchess of the Tausugs' (something absolutely ridiculous since such English nobility sounding titles DO NOT EXIST IN THE TAUSUG CULTURE), has decided to "award" English nobility sounding titles to just about any person who would chant the name of Fuad on Facebook. And sadly, he has has tricked many unsuspecting people to accept and join his absolutely abominable Facebook campaign. In other words, the whole thing, as we have said, is a mixture of facts, fiction and fairy tale with the end purpose of organising a massive con job - sting operation on Facebook. We hope that you are not one of those that he has conned.

One of our Admins here has actually discovered that the said Omar Kiram and his principal, Datu Fuad are running a sting operation with the help of the Indonesians. The Indonesians are running an Islamic fundamentalist school somewhere in Java. The 'partnership's' primary aim, we dedeuced, is to get Malaysia to pay them blackmail money to shut up. We hope we have helped you even in a little way, understand the whole situation today.

But rest assured that as far as we are concerned, Sultan Muedzul Kiram has the legitimate credentials: LINEAGE, RESIDENCE, ROYAL COUNCIL OF ELDERS PROCLAMATION, AND THE DETERMINATION TO DO GOOD BY HIS PEOPLE AND BY THE NATION's SABAH CLAIM, to take over the mantle of leadership of the Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo (Sabah) that his grandfather and father left him.

In the photo above taken when Datu Fuad (right) had not yet taken it in his head to follow the con job operations hatched by Fuad's handler, you will find Sultan Muedzul (left) still in good terms with his uncle. Datu Fuad in fact signed a letter vowing support for his nephew when the latter appointed him (Fuad) as regent sultan of Sabah in 2004 or 2005 but which has since been revoked by Sultan Muedzul for his (Fuad's) most atrocious crime of lèse majesté.

For your information, Farida Kiram, the wife of Datu Fuad who happens to be the mother of his child Habiba Kiram, has brought accusations against Datu Fuad for gross negligence and child abandon. Farida Kiram knows all about the abominable plans that Fuad Kiram and his handler, the fellow calling himself Omar Kiram, have hatched from Day 1 of their first meeting in 2004.

Nota Bene: We did not reach this stage of certainty out of nowhere... All of the Admins of the Philippine Sabah Claim Forum, patriots found all over the world, went minitiously to work, spent their own personal funds, time, efforts to unearth the truth. The Admins HAVE NOTHING TO GAIN AND ARE NOT AFTER THE ACCOLADE OF ANYBODY NOR FOR THE GLORY AND CERTAINLY NOT FOR MONEY... The only thing the Admins have always wanted is to help right a wrong all for INANG BAYAN.

FOR REMINDER: What Senator Salonga said 50 years ago when he replied point by point to Senator Sumulong's traitorous insinuations really still is applicable today:
"But I believe that on such a fundamental question as this, it may be well for us to remember that political considerations, bitterness and endless quibbling should stop at the water's edge and that the claim to North Borneo is not the claim of the President, nor of the Liberal Party, nor of his Administration, but a claim of the entire Republic, based on respect for the rule of law, the sanctity of contractual obligations, the sacredness of facts and the relentless logic of our situation in this ..."

STATEMENT FROM HM SULTAN MUEDZUL-LAIL T. KIRAM, 35th Reigning Sultan, Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo (Sabah)

SO ALL MAY KNOW... STATEMENT FROM HM SULTAN MUEDZUL-LAIL T. KIRAM, 35th Reigning Sultan, Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo (Sabah)

TRANSCRIPTION:

STATEMENT FROM HM SULTAN MUEDZUL-LAIL T. KIRAM
35th Reigning Sultan of Sulu and North Borneo (Sabah)

11 November 2012

TO MY FELLOW FILIPINOS, MY FELLOW TAUSUGS, AND ALL COMPATRIOTS
I am a simple man who, by birth, inherited the moral and legal responsibility left by my forebears to lead the Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo (Sabah).

My grandfather, Sultan Esmail Kiram I, transferred sovereignty rights over Sabah to the Republic of the Philippines on September 11, 1962. Upon his death in 1974, his eldest son, my father, Sultan Moh. Mahakuttah A. Kiram, assumed the title of Sultan in the State of Sulu and all its districts and dependencies. Upon my father's death in 1986, as his eldest son, I, the Rajahmuda (Crowned Prince), descendant of Sultan Jamalul Kiram I, founder of the Sultanate of Sulu, assumed the mantle of leadership for the Sultanate of Sulu & North Borneo (Sabah).
On September 16, 2012, the Royal Council of Elders (Rumah Bichara) of the Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo (Sabah), officially proclaimed me the 35th Sultan of Sulu and all its districts and dependencies.
My fellow Filipinos, my fellow Tausugs, my compatriots wherever you may be, I solemnly vow to defend and uphold my oath as defender of our sovereignty rights over Sabah. With your help, I will do my very best to obtain justice so that Sabah may be returned to its rightful owners, the Tausugs, the people of Sulu and the people of the Philippines.
With your prayers and support, I, Sultan Muedzul-Lail T. Kiram, 35th Sultan of Sulu and North Borneo (Sabah), declare before you that I am prepared to retake and to uphold sovereignty rights of the Republic of the Philippines over North Borneo (Sabah).
So help me God.
HM SULTAN MUEDZUL-LAIL T. KIRAM
Sultan of Sulu and North Borneo (Sabah)

Malaysia's Mahathir was the father of "citizenship-for-votes" in Sabah to keep his enemies "even closer"

"CITIZENSHIP-FOR-VOTES" FOR DISPLACED FILIPINOS IN SABAH WAS MALAYSIA PRIME MINISTER MAHATHIR'S BRAINCHILD POTENTIALLY TO ENSURE THAT THE PHILIPPINE SABAH CLAIM WILL BE 'BURIED' FOREVER

MALAYSIANS ARE ASKING:"Why quiet about Dr Mahathir’s confession?"

The "confession" is all about the "role" of the former prime minister of Malaysia in the citizenship-for-votes scandal in Sabah that has rocked Malaysia. The report is actually misleading because if I am to believe some of the rather influential people I met in KL, the leader who engineered the scheme was Mr Mahathir himself. It was his "baby" so to speak. He was the brain behind it!

I first talked about this citizenship-for-votes -- although without exactly using those words, to the same group of Admins here a couple of years ago when we were first setting up a Sabah forum with some people (who, fortunately, we discovered early enough to be as degrading con artists as PM Mahathir was.)

The 'citizenship-for-votes' was a scheme that Dr Mahathir hatched and put in place in Sabah to ensure UMNO election in the province that would give the coalition control of Malaysia Parliament. I discovered this in the 90s in KL through people I knew there who were in politics and in business (most of them were in both -- the two sectors were inseparable) who were 'in the know' -- it was a kind of an open secret. But no one, absolutely no one in Malaysia politics - or big business for that matter, would dare speak of it publicly out of fear of the all-powerful Mahathir whose men in the Treasury held the purse strings for the party, for government contracts and for almost anything.

Sabah was the gold mine of votes for UMNO for PM Mahathir then. Without Sabah's votes -- hence the distribution of Malaysia ID cards, the coalition headed by BN would have collapsed in the Malaysia Parliament. UMNO was on tenuous ground following the resignation of Hussein Onn in 1981, PM Mahathir's predecessor. Mahathir knew that if a solution was not found, UMNO coalition would explode -- and if UMNO exploded, Barisan Nasional, his party had no chance of controlling Parliament.

The scheme was simple: UMNO rounded up most displaced Filipinos who had fled the Mindanao Secession War in the 70s and who had more or less integrated in the Sabah way of life and offered them citizenship. In exchange, they would vote UMNO in the elections. It worked. Mahathir won 5 consecutive general elections giving him the majority in Malaysia Parliament. I have every reason to believe that the 'citizenship-for-votes' in Sabah existed up to the early 90s (especially after his deputy and rising political star Anwar Ibrahim began to give him a run for his money and began to contest his leadership.)

In the 90s when I began visiting Sabah, I met several Sabahanos who fled to Sabah following the Mindanao Secession War. A few of those with whom I became friends admitted that they were benificiaries of the Mahathir citizenship-for-votes scheme. They had no choice -- they felt vulnerable and so accepted PM Mahathir's/UMNO's largesse in order to be able to stay in Sabah "legally."

Malaysia press hasn't got the 'bite' that Philippine media enjoys and they will find it very difficult to expose the extent of the citizenship-for-votes scheme that Mahathir had organised. According to one Basilan-born Sabahan leader I know and with whom I have remained in contact, he reckons, not counting Indonesians, that there were tens of thousands of Filipinos who had taken advantage of the citizenship-for-votes scheme of Mahathir. He told me that during the general election, it was amusing to see that the queus of voters in the polling stations were mostly people from Mindanao.

Sabah and Sarawak represent the most number of seats in the Malaysia parliament with Sabah delivering every election the most votes for UMNO -- not sure anymore how many (if I remember rightly they were in the 40s) but enough to maintain UMNO majority at election time; this is why Sabah is so important to BN (Barisan National or National Front) leaders who make up the majority in the UMNO coalition which then dominates the Malaysia Parliament.

Sabah votes were Mahathir's Malaysia Parliament lifeline without which his UMNO coalition had a poor chance of obtaining control of Parliament. In fact, even today, PM Najib, who lost in his own hometown in a recent election, without Sabah's gold mine of votes, there is every chance that UMNO, let alone BN, will not win the number of seats necessary to give him the majority of seats in Malaysia Parliament.

Incidentally, in the late 70s, a group of ethinc Chinese businessmen in Sabah tried to organise a "secession" movement and declare an independent Sabah. The repression was ruthless. Some Sabahanos who were originally displaced Filipinos were part of the movement (I know a couple of them very well) but when offered amnesty, they accepted and supported UMNO instead.

Now as to Free Malaysia Today's question: Why quiet about Dr M’s confession?

The answer is simple: PM Najib is still a recipient of the Sabah votes by those who took advantage of Mahathir's citizenship-for-votes scheme. Many of the members of BN today as well as some of the Chinese-Malaysian stalwarts of UMNO sitting in Parliament are also beneficiaries.

Why quiet? Because there is also a risk that if they insist on examining the scheme, Malaysia authorities might open cans and cans of worms that will expose not only the number of people who had been granted Malaysia citizenship for votes but also the long held secret that Mahathir even encouraged the emigration of Filipinos and Indonesians to Sabah with a view to populating Sabah with Malays predominantly to prevent the Chinese (and Indian) population from gaining ground in Sabah politically.

But I have a deep seated suspicion that there is more to just preventing the Chinese (and Indian) population from controlling Sabah one day -- Mahathir's scheme, I am confident, had something to do too with ensuring that the Philippine Sabah claim would be buried forever.

REPORT: Why quiet about Dr M’s confession?

By Joseph BingkasanJanuary 29, 2013Free Malaysia Today
Tuarasn MP Wilfred Bumburing is wondering why the Sabah Umno deputy chief is silent on the former premier's admission regarding the IC issue.
KOTA KINABALU: Pro-opposition Angkatan Perubahan Sabah (APS) has taken state Umno deputy chief Salleh Said Keruak to task for being quick to criticise the opposition but not former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad who admitted his role in the citizenship-for votes scandal that has since rocked the state.
APS president Wilfred Bumburing said Mahathir openly confessed following shocking revelations during the ongoing Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) hearing but Salleh has chosen to ignore this and not challenged the former premier to testify and instead focused on Anwar Ibrahim.

AFP Modernization; President Ramos and the "Teka-Teka" position

It has come to my attention that Pres FVR said in an interview on TV earlier today that PH Govt should purchase AFP military hardware using countertrade. Well and good...

Much as I appreciate FVR, having known him for many years -- and in fact never missed meeting him when he comes to visit where family and I are currently based, I must be straightforward (he's always known me for being vocal and straightforward -- one who does not "shit about" ): Pres FVR missed some of the most important opportunities that were presented to him to modernise the AFP during his presidency* when he was presented with countertrade/offset/barter/BOT plans to pay for the acquisition of major AFP equipment by almost ALL, and I mean almost all, of the countries that were offering to sell defence equipment to the AFP.

Almost all the countries (with the exception of the United States for some equipment) that produced the following offered the Philippines countertrade/offset/barter and BOT forms of payment: FIGHTER AIRCRAFT, ROTARY-WING AIRCRAFT, OFFSHORE PATROL VESSELS COMPLETE WITH INTEGRATED WEAPONS SYSTEM, WEAPONS FOR ALL SORTS OF PLATFORMS, ARMY HARDWARE AND LOGISTICS, SURVEILLANCE RADARS with joint military-civilian use, COASTAL DEFENCE EQUIPMENT, etc., etc., but to no avail. Some countries offered FULL TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER with their proposed equipment. But FVR just would not or could not decide.

Little Philippine cash or no cash payment at all would have been required in many of the offered plans. Most AFP decision makers, i.e., chiefs, major service commands, including then members of the AFP Modernization Board and before that, the AFP Weapons Systems Board were frustrated by the lack of decision capability emanating from DND (under the wing of Rene de Villa) and from Malacanang (whose legal adviser then was Tony Carpio, now SC Justice or even chief justice and without whose approval, NO CONTRACT with govt could go through!)

Defence industrialists never quite understood why FVR took the "Teka-Teka"** position on the acquisition of the much needed major AFP equipment. There is a possibility that he was waiting for the enactment of the AFP Modernization Bill into law which was presented to the Senate during his time but we think that AFP Modernization Law was not really necessary for a decision to be made on matters of BOT, Countertrade or Offset payments with full technology transfer as the country had a SELF RELIANCE law that enabled a cash-strapped govt to do business using precisely what FVR has been speaking about today on television.

And again, despite his reported candor on TV today, I cannot see any reason why FVR must not share the blame for the incapacitated AFP we find today. He could have initiated the modernisation of the AFP and even seen it greatly equipped before he left office... there was nothing illegal in the countertrade/offset/barter/BOT forms of payment for military hardware presented to his government then. Proof is that he is now a proponent of the said payment schemes. Had they started the procurement via countertrade/offset/BOT/bater payment plans during his time, the AFP would have had top-of-the range weapons systems today which would have given it confidence vis-à-vis hostile quarters that want to "engage" it in the region today.

Alas... it was not to be. The only real professional military man (and who had another military man in National Defence at the time), that the country ever had for a president somehow -- and I regret to say this, failed the Armed Forces of the Philippines during his term.

Fortunately, Pres FVR has finally decided and is telling the current decision makers in DND and Malacanang exactly how they might equip the AFP despite the little cash in hand. As my next door friend, newly-married 80-year old Jacqueline would say, better late than never ...

*NB: Pres FVR also mentionned during the TV interview the hardware PH procured from Italy using countertrade/offset, as form of payment, etc. If FVR meant the S211 and the Agusta helos, I believe that it was during the time of President Cory Aquino when the bulk of the negotiations for their acquisition was made.

** "Teka-Teka" literally means, "Wait! Wait!"

Why did Senator Trillanes attack Foreign Affairs Secretary del Rosario? We don't understand...

Senator Trillanes, the "Back Channel" negotiator with China, fires a broadside at Foreign Affairs Secretary del Rosario, PH govt's fightingest official today

BAKIT???? SENATOR TRILLANES, WHY 'ATTACK' SERETARY DEL ROSARIO FOR STANDING UP TO CHINA AND FOR DENOUNCING CHINA'S HIGHHANDED TACTICS AGAINST THE PHILIPPINES? MEDYO MALABO ANG MGA DAHILAN MO, SENATOR!

OUR VIEW:

Firstly, with regard to your reason that you were “assigned for a long time to that area and we did what had to be done without making noise in the media. We were able to protect our territory without making a big thing out of it in the press.”

Senator Trillanes, may we remind you that you were then a junior officer, so junior (and remained a junior officer until you had your "falling out" with the Navy), you would not have been allowed by your Flag-Officer-in-Command to even utter a word in his presence unless asked. You then belonged to the category of soldiers who Lord Tennnyson wrote about, "Theirs was not to reason why, theirs but to do and die." So you could not have spoken -- not even in your wildest dreams, to the press about military operations.

Secondly, Senator, lest you forget, there was nothing exceptional about being "able to protect our territory without making a big thing out of it in the press..." because the military organisation's role IS TO PROTECT OUR TERRITORY REGARDLESS OF THE PRESS. FULL STOP!

Furthermore, you are wrong to say that the Philippine Navy (we assume you are speaking of the service command you once belonged to) did not make "a big thing out of it in the press." Well, Senator, we've got news for you... Oh yes, they did or tried at the very least!!! But media then perhaps had other things to fry so it was media that did not make "a big thing of it."

In fact, if you remember, the Navy then had N-7, the assistant chief of naval staff in charge of liasing with the public, with the press or media, with the civilian world in general, in other words, let's get it right, Senator, NAVY ANNOUNCED and ISSUED PRESS RELEASES TO MEDIA regarding its achievements. So, let's cut the crap, shall we, Senator?

NOW, on your direct attack at Secretary del Rosario telling him “I hope that would be the approach of the DFA and that it just lets the DND do its job on the ground without making any unnecessary scandal when there is still none."

ARE YOU SAYING that you approve of what China is doing, that it is not a scandal and that we should keep silent about it? Now, we are frankly at a loss... WHY ON EARTH SHOULD THE HIGHEST FOREIGN AFFAIRS OFFICIAL OF THE LAND BE SILENT ABOUT CHINA's BELLIGERENT ACTIONS AGAINST THE PHILIPPINES?

Are you forgetting that Secretary del Rosario's duties include handling foreign policy on behalf of the president of the republic and ennunciating the country's stand on matters that affect relations with another country, especially with a hostile country like China? Really, we don't understand why this bellicose attitude towards Secretary del Rosario who is only doing his job to defend the country's position from a foreign affairs policy standpoint! BUT WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM SENATOR?

AND FINALLY, Senator, when you lecture Secretary del Rosario and tell him not to be an "alarmist", we think you are WRONG! UTTERLY, DIABOLICALLY WRONG! We think that Secretary del Rosario is doing what any honorable and responsible government official is doing: HE IS INFORMING THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY AND THE REST OF THE WORLD THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM AND A SOLUTION MUST BE FOUND TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM! It is one way to assert our nation's rights and possibly (yes, we say, 'possibly' because there is never a guarantee that things will ideally pan out in the end -- not with hostile and ambitious China anyway), avert an even worse scenario that will find us all with our pants down.

Appeasement is not the solution to the China problem, Senator... As one of the founders of this Defenders Community, an illustrious Operation Merdeka hero and who, incidentally, was also a naval officer, said, "Knowing that he will not meet any resistance is the best encouragement any bully can ever have."

To be perfectly honest, Senator, we were not expecting you to throw your support to Secretary del Rosario but really, your firing a broadside at him takes the cake.

THE PHILIPPINE DAILY INQUIRER REPORT:

Trillanes to DFA: Don’t be alarmistBy Philip C. Tubeza2:33 am | Wednesday, January 16th, 20132 337 322
Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV on Tuesday scored the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for its “alarmist” posturing against China in the territorial dispute in the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea).
Trillanes, who conducted back-channel talks with China at Malacañang’s behest last year, said the DFA should let the Department of National Defense (DND) do its job and apprehend intruders in Philippine-owned areas in the sea, and not announce everything to the media.
“I was assigned for a long time to that area and we did what had to be done without making noise in the media. We were able to protect our territory without making a big thing out of it in the press,” said Trillanes, a former junior Navy officer, in a media forum in Manila.
“I hope that would be the approach of the DFA and that it just lets the DND do its job on the ground without making any unnecessary scandal when there is still none,” he said.
“We are becoming alarmist when that is not necessary,” he added.
Trillanes said the DFA should quietly confirm any foreign incursions in Philippine territory without broadcasting it to the world.
In his time, he said, “our Navy boarded and immediately searched ships that (entered) the country’s territory and you didn’t need to announce that.”
He said the Philippines then took actions to assert its authority over the disputed territories, “without declaring war or agitating anybody.”

China's Creeping Invasion and China mapping

OUR VIEW: CHINA IS REALLY RARING FOR A CONFRONTATION BUT NOT TO WORRY -- WE NEED NOT DEPLOY A HUGE NAVAL ARMADA TO SHOW THAT WE ARE RESOLUTE, THAT WE CANNOT BE BULLIED... News came at an opportuned time after Japan and Ph agreed to be strategical partners in the face of this looming diplomatic and potentially military-cloaked crisis with China.

Philippines must not let China get away with including its territorial waters and lands in their official map... Despite the "smallness" of the country's capability, the PH government must act right away because not to do so is tantamount to abandon of our claims. The government cannot make the excuse that once again, the country is soooo helpless because it "hasn't got much." HOGWASH! There are enough ships to patrol our West PH Sea. Patrolling our own waters is what the Navy and the PCG are supposed to do, for crying out loud!

If the Philippine government refuses to it, then it is easy to believe that some folks at the highest echelons of power are either frightened or at best, not really interested in those territories enough to show our faces (navy and coast guard). If so, then by all means, let China continue with its creeping invasion and just move on!

However, if PH government is not frightened or is interested -- even just to save face -- then it's time to show a pair of balls (just a pair would suffice!)

THREE THINGS TO BE DONE 'ILLICO' (NO TIME TO WASTE)
- DFA summons China ambassador and ask for explanations; requires China ambassador to reply within a given period of time
- If China response not satisfactory, recall PH ambassador
- This time, Malacanang SHOULD GIVE go signal to PH Navy and PH Coast Guard to patrol West Philippine Sea, i.e., protect our territories, stake our claim in PH 200nautical mile zone

JUST THINK: CHINA MIGHT PLANT STRUCTURES JUST OUTSIDE OUR ISLANDS TO FORM A BARRAGE! If we fail to show presence in the West Philippine Sea, eg., deploy our navy or coast guard or both, as in we decide to hide and just throw verbiage to the Chinese by way of DFA in the hope that by praying 3 Our Fathers and 5 Hail Marys, we would make China "nicer" to us, there is every chance that China WILL DECIDE PLANT STRUCTURES similar to oil rigs, radar shelters, etc; anywhere near our own islands, islets, reefs, shoals, TO STAKE THEIR CLAIM and they don't even have to invade our islands to do it!

Even if they DON'T INVADE OR LAND BOOTS ON OUR SPRATLY ISLANDS, i.e., construct those structures, ON our islets, note that it would be infinitely more difficult to have any structures removed once China plants them near our islets. China can easily establish a naval 'barrage' around our islands -- remember, they've done it around Scarborough Shoal, if we don't do anything, even by way of showing naval or coast guard presence in our waters.

REMEMBER SABAH: Back in early 1963, even before the so-called "referendum" of Sabah asking Sabahans if they wanted to join the soon-to-be-created Malaysia Federation (which most Sabahans were not aware was happening), Tunku Abdul Rahman, ordered the printing of NEW MALAYSIA maps that included Sabah. We were caught with our trousers down. And in the late 80s, PM Mahathir re-ordered the printing of NEW MALAYSIA maps but to exclude Sabah naval bases which he had been thinking of transforming into submarine bases. (Until the late 90s, the Sabah naval bases for Malaysia submarine fleet did not figure in your ordinary Sabah tourist map.) The official "mapping" methodology only goes to show that it is one effective means of creeping invasion that can easily convince a bewildered world.

READ FULL REPORT ON NEW CHINA OFFICIAL MAP here.
MANILA, Philippines - China has published new maps that for the "first time" put disputed islands in South China Sea (West Philippine Sea) being claimed by the Philippines "in equal scale" to that of Chinese mainland, Xinhua, China's official press agency, reported on Friday.
